What’s to like:
Florida State continues to recruit at one of the highest levels in the ACC, and that talent is especially noticeable along the defensive line. The Seminoles have assembled a group capable of controlling the line of scrimmage and creating pressure without relying heavily on blitzes. That strength gives the defense an opportunity to keep Florida State competitive against some of the conference's better offenses.
The overall athleticism throughout the roster is another reason for optimism. Florida State has continued adding speed and talent through both high school recruiting and the transfer portal, giving the Seminoles one of the more talented rosters in the conference. If those players develop as expected, Florida State has the ability to compete near the top of the ACC standings.
What’s not to like:
Turnovers continue to be an area Florida State needs to improve. Giving away possessions has hurt the Seminoles in key moments, and taking better care of the football will be important in close conference games.
The offensive line also remains one of the biggest question marks. More consistent play up front would help both the running game and pass protection, while allowing the offense to play with greater balance. After recent inconsistency as a program, Florida State also needs to prove it can meet the expectations that come with having one of the ACC's most talented rosters.

Final Thoughts:
Florida State has assembled one of the ACC's more talented rosters through recruiting and the transfer portal. The defensive line has the potential to be one of the team's biggest strengths, but improving the offensive line and limiting turnovers will go a long way toward determining the Seminoles' season. If those areas improve, Florida State should once again compete near the top of the conference.
