For the 2025 college football season, win totals are a popular futures betting market, allowing fans to wager on whether a team will exceed (Over) or fall short (Under) of a projected number of regular-season wins, typically based on a 12-game schedule.
Head Coach Matt Rhule and the Nebraska Cornhuskers have had a very rough go of it for the past few years, but they now have a glimmer of hope as they have a young QB who looks solid. The Cornhuskers started freshman Dylan Raiola, and not only does he look like Patrick Mahomes, he also kind of plays like him.
The Florida Gators had a very rocky season in 2024, and Head Coach Billy Napier seemingly struggled to make decisions especially with who to start at QB. Napier did eventually make a final decision, and boy was it a good one. The Gators started freshman QB DJ Lagway, and they were able to go on a great run at the end of the season.
The 2025 NFL Draft was this past weekend, and this one did not disappoint. There were lives changed, teams rejuvenated, and even some historic draft slides. 257 men had their lives changed, and while some might not have gone as high as they believed they should have, these men can forever say that they were drafted in the NFL. Below is a review of each team's 1st round draft pick.
Head Coach Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers biggest trouble last season was having to flip flop between QBs trying to find their guy. The Tigers hit the portal and landed a great starting QB with Jackson Arnold from Oklahoma. Arnold with the Sooners threw for 1,421 yards and 12 TDs while rushing for another 444 yards and 3 TDs.
The reigning SEC champs have been rolling for what seems like forever, and don’t look for that to slow down. Head coach Kirby Smart and the Dawgs hit the portal hard, and got some ballers. For starters, Georgia got a shiny new WR in Zachariah Branch out of USC along with others for both sides of the ball.
Head Coach Jeff Traylor and his Roadrunners are geared up for a phenomenal 2025 season. They will have returning QB Owen McCown who threw for 3,424 yards and 25 TDs in 2024. UTSA will also have returning young RB Brandon High, Jr who rushed for 495 yards and 8 TDs.
New Head Coach Charles Huff and his Golden Eagles will be looking for massive improvements in 2025 as 2024 was a terrible year for Southern Miss Football. They thankfully were able to get a great QB to transfer from Marshall in Braylon Braxton. Braxton in 2024 threw for 1,624 yards and 19 TDs while adding 610 rushing yards and 4 TDs.
Bellow is our 2025 College Football Playoff bracket that we created based on all of the team and season predictions we have made thus far. Based on records, power rankings, and other different statistics, we believe that the Texas Longhorns will be the 2025 College Football National Champions with a perfect 16-0 record. Texas will defeat Clemson in a highly competitive, high scoring national championship game.
Bellow is our rankings of the 2025 SEC QBs based on their performances last year and other stats all combined to give us their QB metric. John Mateer (Oklahoma) leads the SEC with a metric of 27.2, and he is closely followed by Garrett Nussmeier (LSU) at #2 and Diego Pavia (Vanderbilt) at #3.
Head Coach DeShaun Foster and his UCLA Bruins did not have a great season in 2024, but they do have high hopes for 2025. Coach Foster and the Bruins were able to go to the portal and pick up a shiny new QB. Nico Iamaleava was the starting QB at Tennessee in 2024, and after some NIL disagreements with Tennessee, Iamaleava transferred to UCLA.
The Volunteers are one of the hottest teams in college football right now. Head coach Josh Heupel has his team looking strong, and a lot of that is due to their QB Joey Aguilar who transferred out of App. State. Aguilar in 2024 threw for 3,003 yards and 23 TDs.
From zeroes to heroes, from upset to the up-setters! The Vanderbilt Commodores had a rollercoaster of a season in 2024. Head Coach Clark Lea and his Commodores were able to upset Alabama, and were very close to beating Texas, LSU, and Missouri. They have a bunch of stars returning, and they have a very solid transfer portal class.
The Oregon Ducks were one of the most dominant teams in college football in 2024. Dan Lanning had those flying higher than ever before especially on the offensive side where they ranked 3rd in the country. That offensive firepower will continue in 2025 as RB Makhi Hughes transfers from Tulane after rushing for 1,401 yards and 15 TDs.
The Texas Longhorns are coming off one of their best seasons ever, and head coach Steve Sarkisian has these Longhorns rolling. However, the most exciting part for these 2025 Longhorns is the start of the Arch Manning era down in Texas. Manning, in the small sample size, has looked great.
Curt Cignetti and his Indiana Hoosiers are coming off their best season EVER. The Hoosiers had their best record ever and made their first playoff appearance, and they will have a young QB transferring from Cal who will be looking to continue the winning. Fernando Mendoza in 2024, with Cal, threw for 3,004 yards and 16 TDs.
Head Coach Sherrone Moore and his Michigan Wolverines had a disappointing season in 2024 following their National Championship win the year before. Coach Moore will have to lean on his defense in 2025 if he wants to rebuild this team. Luckily they will have their returning star LB Ernest Hausmann who in 2024 put up 89 tackles (led the team), 7 TFLs, 2 sacks, and 1 INTs.
The Boise State Broncos are coming off their best season ever with their first appearance in the college football playoffs. The Broncos will have a great team headed into 2025 with the offense being led by their dominant QB and TE duo. The QB Maddux Madsen threw for 3,018 yards and 23 TDs.
