What’s to like:
Bill O'Brien has helped Boston College establish a more physical identity, and that has been one of the biggest changes within the program. The Eagles have become more disciplined and competitive, particularly against teams that try to control games at the line of scrimmage. That approach has allowed Boston College to stay in games even when facing more talented opponents.
The offensive line should once again be one of the team's biggest strengths. Returning experience up front gives the offense stability in both the running game and pass protection, while the defense continues to play a tough, disciplined brand of football. Boston College may not have the flashiest roster in the ACC, but it has built a foundation around physical play and limiting mistakes, which should keep the Eagles competitive throughout the season.
What’s not to like:
Boston College still has work to do at the skill positions. While the offensive line provides stability, the Eagles need more consistent production from their playmakers if they want to compete with the top offenses in the ACC. Creating explosive plays has been a challenge, and that's an area that needs to improve.
The schedule also won't make things any easier. Boston College faces several talented conference opponents, leaving very little room for mistakes. Winning close games and staying healthy will be important if the Eagles hope to return to postseason play.

Final Thoughts:
Boston College continues to build under Bill O'Brien, and the program has developed a more physical identity over the past couple of seasons. The Eagles should once again rely on their offensive line and disciplined defense to stay competitive in the ACC. Finding more production from the skill positions will be important if Boston College hopes to take another step this upcoming season.
