What’s to like:
The Arizona State Sun Devils are coming off one of their best seasons ever where they won the Big 12 and received a first round bye in the College Football Playoffs. Head Coach Kenny Dillingham expects to achieve more as he heads into his 3rd season at Arizona State. He will have plenty of success because he has one the hottest young offenses in college football.
The Sun Devils offense will be led by their young QB Sam Leavitt who last season threw for 2,885 yards and 24 TDs. Leavitt’s favorite target WR Jordyn Tyson had 1,101 receiving yards and 10 TDs.
What’s not to like:
Arizona State’s success can not be talked about without mentioning their leader and star running back Cam Skattebo. Skattebo had a terrific season with the Sun Devils in 2024 where he rushed for 1,711 yards and 21 TDs while receiving for 605 yards and 3 TDs.
Cam Skattebo will be headed to the NFL draft where he is expected to be a very high draft pick. Arizona State will still be a very good team in 2025, but we definitely have to recognize how big the impact Cam Skattebo had on their success in 2024.

The Arizona State Sun Devils will be a different team next season without Cam Skattebo. They might not have the same type of success this season like they did in 2024, but they will still be a high scoring team and will achieve some success.
Kenny Dillingham is a young and hungry head coach, and everybody should get ready for the Sun Devils to continue to develop and improve year after year. Expect for this year to be a little bit of a down year, but also expect for this Arizona State team to come in and fight every single game.
