What’s to like:
LSU enters the season with no shortage of talent and expectations. Lane Kiffin has already proven himself as one of the SEC’s most creative and successful head coaches, consistently fielding offenses capable of competing with anyone in the country. HIs ability to maximize offensive talent and adapt to his personnel gives LSU confidence that the Tigers can remains one of the conference’s most dangerous teams.
The running back room may be one of the best in college football. Caden Durham emerged as a dynamic playmaker, while Harlem Berry arrives as one of the most highly scouted recruit in the nation. The Tigers also assembled one of the nation’s top transfer portal classes, which Lane Kiffin has been historically good at. On paper, LSU has addressed many of its roster needs and possesses the talent necessary to compete in the playoff berth.
What’s not to like:
The biggest concern for LSU is how quickly all of the new pieces can come together. The Tigers added more than 40 transfers, meaning a large portion of the roster will be learning new schemes, building chemistry, and adjusting to a new environment. while the transfer portal can accelerate roster construction, there is always risk when so much of a team’s production depends on players who have never played together.
There are also questions surrounding the new quarterback Sam Leavitt’s heath. LSU"‘s ceiling largely depends on stability at the quarterback position, and any setbacks could significantly impact the offense. Unlike some programs that are entering a rebuild year, LSU does not have the luxury of patience. Expectations remain high and the Tigers face pressure to win immediately.

Final Thoughts:
Head coach Lane Kiffin inherits one of the SEC’s most talented rosters and has added another strong transfer portal class to address several needs. The Tigers have the offensive talent to compete with anyone on their schedule, but building chemistry with so many new faces will be one of the biggest challenges. If LSU comes together quickly, the Tigers should be in the conversation near the top of the SEC.
