Can Carson Beck win in Miami?

The final play of the first half of the SEC championship Carson Beck would play his last down as a Georgia Bulldog. With one year left of eligibility on January 9th, Beck would make the decision to enter his name into the transfer portal and commit to the Miami Hurricanes within 24 hours of his entry.
The gunslinger from Georgia succeeds the number one overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, Cam Ward. The Miami Hurricanes are coming off a very successful season finishing 3rd in the ACC with a 10-3 record. Now with a new QB at the helm, Beck is charged with the task to lead the Hurricanes to prominence.
In the wake of Carson Beck’s transfer, a few weapons are joining the squad in South Florida. Tony Johnson, a transfer from Cincinnati, stands a 5’10 and 187 lbs. and joins the team alongside Kelan Marion who comes from BYU. The rising junior, Isaiah Horton, returns after a promising sophomore season with 56 reception, 616 yards and 5 TDs.. Beck will have plenty of talent as he plans to improve his draft stock before ending his college career. According to CFB Hourglass, Beck sits at 3rd in the ACC in quarterback ratings
On August 31st of 2025, the number one transfer recruit will make his debut as a Hurricane against the runner-up National Champion, Notre Dame Fight Irish.
