What’s to like:
Head Coach Eliah Drinkwitz and his Missouri Tigers had an incredible 2024 season where they went 10-3 and raised everyone’s expectations. This year, they will be led by a new QB transferring from Penn State, Beau Pribula. In his 2 seasons backing up Drew Allar, Pribula threw for 424 yards and 9 TDs while also rushing for 571 yards and 10 TDs. Pribula is expected to do great things as a starting QB for the first time.
Missouri got plenty more transfers who are expected to contribute on both sides of the ball, but it is the players returning that is extremely exciting, specifically on defense. The Missouri Tigers have 8 returning starters on defense including their star-studded DB unit which consists of CB Toriano Pride Jr, CB Dreyden Norwood, S Marvin Burks Jr, and S Daylan Carnell, These 4 combined for 174 tackles, 5 INTs, and 16 pass break-ups.
What’s not to like:
With the expectations being so high, it is very easy to find things not to like, but Missouri’s issues are excruciatingly obvious. They lost almost everybody on the offense including their long standing QB Brady Cook who is now off to the NFL. Cook, in his 3 seasons as the starter, threw for 8,576 yards and 48 TDs while rushing for 1,127 yards and 19 TDs.
However, the biggest hit on the offense was the departure of their star WRs, Luther Burden III and Theo Wease Jr, who are both now in the NFL. These two, after 3 seasons with Missouri combined, racked up 3,829 receiving yards and 31 TDs. All three of these guys are going to be so hard to replace, but Coach Drinkwitz has done a good job at getting some decent transfer players.

Final Thoughts:
Head Coach Eliah Drinkwitz and the Missouri Tigers have done a great job establishing themselves as one of the better football programs in the SEC. 2025 will most likely be down here for them as they have lost so much talent, but they do have a solid defense which will keep them competitive in most games. If the offense can find their footing, 2025 might be a solid year for the Missouri Tigers.
